The agents returned to the outpost under the pallid skies of Voll, their journey interrupted by an ambush from four warriors of a Stilt-Walker clan. The attack proved futile. Outmatched both technologically and martially, the attackers were swiftly driven off, their challenge little more than an inconvenience.
Back at the outpost, the agents took time to recover—cleansing themselves of dust, blood, and exhaustion—before turning their attention to unfinished business. At first light, they made their way to the Administratum building, intent on confronting Rastigan Dorin.
Dorin, however, had failed to report to his post.
Under the carefully implied authority of the Inquisition—never spoken aloud, yet unmistakable—the agents, led by Severin, applied severe pressure to Dorin’s terrified secretary. The man broke. Access to Dorin’s personal cogitator was granted.

Before acting on what they had uncovered, the agents returned once more to the workshop.
There, Zenyi revealed a grim discovery: two tracking devices had been attached to their vehicle. Confronted with the evidence, she confessed. She had been feeding Dorin their locations and operational progress, believing him to be a loyal servant of the Imperium. She claimed ignorance of his betrayal, unaware that he was playing a deeper game—and that he stood in league with Markis Sihn.
The truth was bitter, but the agents chose not to turn on her. Trust, though scarred, was not yet broken.
With this final piece in place, the agents returned to the data recovered from Dorin’s cogitator. Among its contents was a digital map highlighting two access points leading into the ancient sewer and canalisation systems beneath the outpost—forgotten arteries of industry and decay.
The following day, the agents descended into the underhive depths.
Guided by Dregs eking out a wretched existence in the tunnels below, they followed half-forgotten routes toward what was whispered to be Sihn’s “chapel.” The air grew heavy, tainted, and alien. Before reaching their destination, the agents encountered disturbing signs: markings, residue, and tunnel structures suggesting the presence—or nesting grounds—of Acynadi, lurking in the darkness beneath the outpost.
The path to Markis Sihn was narrowing. The shadows beneath Voll were closing in.
