Your Faction is the organisation that you belong to, the group that took you in and kept you alive through to adulthood, training and equipping you to perform a specific Duty. Find all Factions on Page 54 in the Core Rulebook.
Below you will find all the factions available for character generation. From the Core book only the Benefit Box. Additional factions with description (currently only Adeptus Arbites).
Adeptus Administratum
Benefits
You gain +5 Intelligence and +5 to either Perception, Willpower, or Fellowship.
You have 5 Advances to spend on Dexterity, Linguistics, Logic, Lore, Medicae, and Navigation.
You gain +1 Influence with the Administratum and a Contact (Personal Influence, page 193)
You gain the Data Delver Talent.
You gain a set of Robes, a Dataslate, a Writing Kit, 800 solars.
You gain your choice of an Auto-Quill, a Chirurgeon’s Kit, a Pict Recorder, or a Vox-Caster.
Adeptus Arbites
The Adeptus Arbites is the adepta of the Adeptus Terra that serves as the galactic police force of the Imperiumof Man, responsible for enforcing Imperial Law (the Lex Imperialis) on all Imperial-controlled worlds. The Adeptus Arbites have been granted the right by the High Lords of Terra to serve as judge, jury and executioner for any Imperial citizen they discover having broken Imperial Law. Unfortunately for many Imperial citizens, the concept of due process is not one that generally applies in the Imperium.
However, in those cases where Imperial Law is unclear or the law breaker has committed a truly heinous deed or is of unusually high-ranking stature, the offended will be taken back to an Arbites Precinct House for judgement by an Arbites Judge, the sentence to be carried out immediately. Imperial justice is swift and sure, but not always just.
Only through a constant watch and the execution of often brutal laws can the Imperium survive, and it is the Adeptus Arbites who carry out this function. While the armies of the Astra Militarum struggle to hold back the aggression of alien empires and protect the worlds of Mankind from without, the Adeptus Arbites roots out rebels, recidivists, and threats to the stability of the Imperium from within.

Adeptus Astra Telepathica
Benefits
You gain +5 Willpower and +5 to either Intelligence, Perception, or Toughness
You have 5 Advances to spend on Awareness, Discipline, Intuition, Linguistics, Navigation, or Psychic Mastery
You gain +1 Influence with the Adeptus Astra Telepathica. At the GM’s discretion, you may instead have +1 Influence with a Faction of your choice to reflect your duty in the Imperium.
You gain one of the following: the Psyker and Sanctioned Psyker Talents; the Blank Talent; or the Condemn the Witch and Mental Fortress Talents.
You gain a Knife with the Mono-edge Weapon Modification, a set of Robes, an instrument of divination, and 500 solars.
Adeptus Mechanicus
Benefits
You gain +5 Intelligence and +5 to either Toughness, Agility, or Perception.
You have 5 Advances to spend on Dexterity, Logic, Lore, Medicae, Piloting, and Tech.
You gain +1 Influence with the Adeptus Mechanicus.
You gain a set of Robes, a Dataslate, a vial of Sacred Unguents, and 100 solars.
You gain one of the following: an Augur Array, a Vocal Implant, an Augmetic Respiratory System, or an Augmetic Sensory Organ.
You gain one of the following: Augmetic Arm, Augmetic Tracks/Wheels, Augmetic Heart.
Adeptus Ministorum
Benefits
You gain +5 Willpower and +5 to either Intelligence, Perception, or Fellowship.
You have 5 Advances to spend on Discipline, Intuition, Lore, Medicae, Presence, and Rapport.
You gain the Faithful (Imperial Cult) Talent.
You gain +1 Influence with the Ministorum.
You gain a set of Robes, a Holy Icon, a set of Slings, and 600 solars.
You gain your choice of any two of the following; a Carapace Chestplate, a Chainsword, a Chirurgeon’s Kit, a Laud Hailer, a Staff with the Ornamental Quality, or a set of Robes with the Ornamental Quality.
Astra Militarum
Benefits
You gain +5 Toughness and +5 to either Weapon Skill, Ballistic Skill, or Strength.
You have 5 Advances to spend on Athletics, Discipline, Fortitude, Melee, Ranged, and Stealth.
You gain the Drilled Talent.
You gain +1 Influence with the Astra Militarum.
You gain a Knife, a set of Astra Militarum Flak Armour, a Frag Grenade, and 300 solars.
You gain your choice of any two of the following; a Lasgun, Laspistol, Las Carbine, Entrenching Tool, Cameleoline Cloak, or Chainsword.
The Imperial Fleet
Benefits
You gain +5 Agility and +5 to either Strength, Toughness, or Perception.
You have 5 Advances to spend on Awareness, Logic, Navigation, Piloting, Reflexes, and Tech.
You gain the Void Legs Talent.
You gain +1 Influence with the Navis Imperialis.
You gain a Laspistol or Pump-action Shotgun, a Void Suit or Flak Vest and Mag Boots, a Lascutter or Photo-Visors, and 500 solars.
Infractionist
Benefits
You gain +5 Agility and +5 to either Toughness, Perception, or Fellowship.
You have 5 Advances to spend on Athletics, Dexterity, Fortitude, Rapport, Reflexes, and Stealth.
You gain the Well-prepared Talent.
You gain +1 Influence with Infractionists.
You gain a Knife, a Backpack, and 5d10 solars.
You gain your choice of either a Stub Pistol or a Stub Revolver, and either a set of Light Leathers or Heavy Leathers.
You gain a Mundane Weapon and a Common Tool of your choice. Both gain the Shoddy and Ugly item Flaws.
Inquisition
Benefits
You gain +5 Perception and +5 to either Toughness, Intelligence, or Willpower.
You have 5 Advances to spend on Awareness, Discipline, Intuition, Logic, Lore, and Presence.
You gain the Ever Vigilant Talent.
