Arriving at The Pit, the Lord Captain's agents notice that it is mainly Vilanthy Knives, but also members of other gangs, who are present. Here, fights are only fought in the pit.

To get more information about the drug Gratis, the agents question Decima, the Vylathi Knives Pit Boss. However, she only releases information if one of them is prepared to fight in the pit. Alicia, the Battle Sister, declares herself ready for an exhibition fight up to the First Blood. She successfully fights an Ark-type Vylathi Knive Ganger, Alcto, injuring him badly in the cheek.

As information, the group learns that one of the gangers present, Ophelia, who has also fought successfully, is trading Gratis for Las Weapon Magazines. The group pursues Ophelia through the Underhive after she leaves The Pit and is ambushed by Alecto and some of his fellow gangers. However, they are able to fend off this ambush after a brief exchange of fire and threats with the chainsword.
