They investigated the cause of the Gellar Field malfunction: it was due to a brief energy loss. A check of the location revealed a poorly maintained section of the ship.

After three days of travel, the agents exited the Warp and arrived at Panavor. They attempted to contact the missing ship. Abelard summoned them to the bridge. The Princess Bellana was not present in orbit. The communications officer had established Vox contact with Governor Olbenbaum and informed him of their arrival. Their Aquila Lander brought them to a landing site near the capital's palace. They met the Governor in person, Fiern Olbenbaum, and were welcomed into the palace.

New information surfaced: the Astropath of the ship had killed a servant and was wanted for murder. The main reason for the delay was that the Mechanicum silos had ceased operations. The Princess Bellana had departed for a nearby asteroid mining station.

They began their investigation by visiting the marketplace (the crime scene) and speaking to witnesses. The result: the Astropath had tried to contact the silo station telepathically. After that, he seemed to have gone mad and committed the murder. All four witnesses were frightened and hesitant to reveal too much.

The Astropath had been terrified. People had started behaving strangely since the silo station had ceased operation. One of the Enforcers was also acting odd. The official investigation had been very insufficient.

The Enforcer in question appeared to have an unusual shoulder and skin condition. Caesar programmed his Servoskull to scan for similar conditions.

They made their way toward the silo station. There was no movement, no activity—nothing. Normally, the station would be bustling with action around the clock. The area was well-lit, but a frequency check revealed that there were absolutely no emissions. They entered through a portal created by Vinz. Severin climbed up the wall of the main building, and they entered through a roof access door. Inside, they encountered a dead Tech Priest.
