Requirement: Ogryn Species only, Toughness 45, 1 Advance in Reflexes (Dodge)

You are a Oath Bound Bodygard to protect the Astra Militarum officer or another person in duty of the Imperium to whom you are assigned. Whether you achieve this by throwing yourself in the line of fire, or by slaughtering all enemies who come near to your charge. You can take this Talent two times.

If you take this talent, you can attempt to take the damage instead of your charge if he is injured. To do this, you must use your reaction and succeed in an Average (+20) Reaction (Dodge) Test. If you have more than 3 SL, you will receive one less damage. If you receive a critical hit from this damage, your party does not lose any Superiority.

If you take this talent a second time, you receive a second reaction per round which you may only use to ward off an attack on your charge. If your charge is in the immediate vicinity (same zone), you receive +1 SL on all tests you make to protect him or take action against his opponents.

This talent is always linked to a specific person. If the protégé or the Oath no longer exists, the talent must be acquired again for a new Oath.
