The Lord Captain's agents were already on their way up from the catacombs of the Cathedrum when Severin let slip a remark that he had found a small library. The whole party then went back and searched the library room. In addition to “normal” books, they also found heretical writings.

When they heard human moaning and screaming, they searched for the source of the screams and found the “Monastery of Pain”. A converted room in which a creature was being held captive by two guards from the Cutter gang. This horrible creature was too big to escape from the room and was mainly fed with body parts. A short-lived stand-off ensued, which was decided in favor of the agents by further grenade throws from Severin and Alicia. However, one guard was able to escape injured. With a tricky use of Vinz's psychic power “The Last Mistake”, the fugitive was caught and eliminated.

The fleeing ganger led the group directly to the entrance of a former monastery church where Archdeacon Artosy and 12 cultists were holding some kind of heretical ritual. They used this for a surprise attack. Almost all the heretics were killed. As usual, the agents collected all valuable items and usable weapons and ammunitioned their magazines. The dark secret of the Archdeacon and the Flaming Seraph was revealed. Who else belonged to the heretics and knew about the blasphemous machinations in the Cathedrum?
